Art I’m Loving… Tara Donovan

Tara Donovan creates the most incredible, organic installations from everyday objects such as styrofoam cups, plastic straws, straight or steel pins, and toothpicks. The girl certainly knows how to rock a hot glue gun.  She has also shown her talent with more layman artist’s mediums, such as ink and paper. An exhibition entitled Currents 35: Tara Donovan is currently on view at the Milwaukee Art Museum through October 5th, or you can find her work at The Pace Gallery in New York or Ace Gallery in LA. It is no wonder why she has had numerous solo exhibitions at high profile museums as well as won numerous awards, including the MacArthur Fellowship “genius” grant in 2008.
