Tomorrow, Sotheby’s will be auctioning off dozens of diamonds and sparkling jewels from the collections of Estée Lauder and Evelyn H. Lauder, with proceeds benefitting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, a charitable organization founded by Evelyn Lauder.
Two of the biggest highlights from the sale include a gorgeous pink diamond ring of 6.54 carats and a heart-shaped yellow diamond of 47.14 carats, set in a diamond necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels for Estée Lauder, and once owned by the Duchess of Windsor. The other items in the sale have been described by Sotheby’s as a “very fine selection of wearable evening and daytime jewelry, all reflecting the classic style and refined taste of the women who wore them.”
If you are like me and could in no way afford any of these stunners, you can at least view them at the Sotheby’s building on the UES in New York ahead of the sale on Wednesday. See you there today?
